1928 Harvey B. Rosson opens his garage, selling ice, gas & car repair, a “snack bar” was soon to follow.
1940 Bootsie Rosson marries Joe Troilo of Vandergrift PA.
First Front End Machine installed in the area.
Franklin Rosson, Bootsie’s brother, joins in the family business.
1941 Bootsie opens the GRILL, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
From ’40 til ’55, Franklin & Joe ran the garage and Bootsie and her mother ran the Grill. In 1955 Franklin, his wife and son are lost to a fatal automobile accident, Joe & Bootsie’s oldest daughter, Kathy, was the only survivor.
1958 Upgraded front-end equipment to the latest electronic technology, by BEAR. Became a Jeep Franchise Dealer in the late ’50’s till the mid ’70’s. Still keep a large inventory of antique Jeep parts in stock.
1960 Upgrade garage to accommodate over-the-road tractors.
1962 Rosson & Troilo featured in the national publication of Bear Alignment.
Rosson and Troilo is a fourth generation family owned and operated business that began in 1928 as a gas and service station. Over the years, the company has shifted with the growing changes of the community adding a grill and a Jeep dealership in the 40s and 50s. Through the mid '90s, Rosson and Troilo owned 13 Goodyear Dealerships throughout the state of Virginia and was the largest farm tire dealer on the East Coast. From there the business changed courses and moved into commercial towing and recovery, maintaining the major highways and Interstates throughout the state of Virginia. We are currently a Penske Agency, renting commercial and moving trucks. We also have numerous commercial properties for lease.
If you haven't noticed we are VERY familiy oriented. In 2016 Caitie found some old papers that had the signaitre of Uncle Frank Rosson and Grandad "Joe" Troilo. So there you have it! Frank "Rosson" and Joe "Troilo"
1964 Joe Troilo aligns race cars for drivers such as A.J. Foyt at Indianapolis 500.
1975 Tony, Joe & Bootsie’s son, recovers from a near fatal automobile accident.
1978 Rosson & Troilo becomes a GoodYear Independent Tire Dealer.
1983 Rosson & Troilo expands operations to an 18 acre complex in Brandy Station.
1984 Grand Opening of Louisa location
1985 Tony is invited to the Indianapolis 500 to balance race car tires for top NASCAR drivers. Grand opening Warrenton and Retread locations
1986 Grand opening of Staunton and Harrisonburg locations.
1988 Grand opening of Culpeper location
1989 Grand opening of Waynesboro location.
1990 Rosson & Troilo expands operations into Heavy Duty Towing Recovery. Grand opening of Fredericksburg location.
1992 Sold Tappahannock Location. Rosson & Troilo brings first heavy duty hydraulic wrecker to the area
1994 Sold Harrisonburg location.
1995 Tony is named “1995 Dealer of the Year” by Modern Tire Dealers, a national magazine, covering tire dealers throughout the United States and Canada.
1996 Sold Fredericksburg and Waynesboro Locations
1998 Sold Culpeper, Staunton and Retread locations
2000 Grand opening of Opal Location & RT Motors LLC (VA licensed used car dealership)
2001 Tony Troilo receives the prestigious “Hero” award presented by the American Towman, Inc., a national publication.

2003 Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Rosson & Troilo with an All-American Soap Box Derby race in downtown Culpeper.

Our family prides itself on serving the community and was thrilled to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Rosson and Troilo in 2003 by organizing the Piedmont Soap Box Derby. Today the Derby is ranked the 2nd largest derby in the WORLD and we continue to grow! We have had FIVE WORLD CHAMPIONS!
2005 Tony Troilo receives the prestigious Towman Commendation award from American Towman, Inc., a national publication.
2006 Rosson & Troilo sells Tire and Automotive Repair Parts of both Brandy Station and Warrenton locations.
Rosson & Troilo becomes an exclusive Towing, Recovery, & Emergency Road Service provider.
2008 Peppe Troilo joined Miller industries race recovery team ( providing wrecker services at Indy Car & NASCAR races)
2011 Caitie Troilo branched off from the business and opened KK's Printing in downtown Culpeper.
2013 Rosson & Troilo sells towing and recovery equipment and becomes an exclusive emergency road service provider.
2014 Rosson & Troilo becomes E-Z-GO dealer. Caitie moved KK's Printing to our building in Brandy.
2015 We sold E-Z-GO Dealership to K&M Equipment.
2017 Became a Penske Truck Rental Agency
